Willie Nix left this world peacefully on August 21, 2025 surrounded by loving family at AdventHealth Waterman, Tavares, FL.

Willie Nix was born on May 21, 1936 in Tangerine, FL to the late Mansfield Sr. and Lillie Mae Nix.

He grew up in Lake Gem, FL where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep love for his family. After attending Phyllis Wheatley Primary School he went on to pursue a career in construction to which he dedicated himself until his retirement.

He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Christine Nix on September 26, 1959. Together they raised five children: Curtis Wright, William Harley Sr. (deceased), Jimmie Lee Robinson Sr. (deceased), Carolyn Snead, and Wilhemina Nix.

Willie is preceded in death by his sons: William Harley and Jimmie Lee Robinson; brothers: Johnny Staton Sr., Joseph Nix, George Nix, Clarence Nix, and Elein Nix; sister, Alberta Nix Daniels; and a grandson, Desmon Lavar Robinson.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories: 2 daughters:  Carolyn Snead (Ernest) of Mt. Dora, FL and Wilhemina Nix of Mt. Dora, FL; one son, Curtis Wright of Albany, GA; 2 brothers: Bobby Nix (Rose) of Eustis, FL and Mansfield Nix III (Vickie) of Tangerine, FL;  2 sisters: Lillie Mae Jones of Albany, GA and Barbara McCoy of Mt. Dora, FL; 9 grandchildren: Jimmie Robinson Jr., Mina Robinson, Sakeena Nix, Tamara Williams, Ernest Snead III, Willie Snead Sr., Travis Nix, Troy Nix, and Antonio Johnson; 23 great grand-children; 1 great-great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly.
