Willie Franklin Obituary

Bro. Willie D. Franklin was born in Fredrick, MD on May 9, 1945, to the late Benjamin Franklin, Sr. and Janis Scott Franklin.

 

Bro. Franklin lived most of his years in Fredrick, MD. He was a tractor-trailer driver for most of his adult life. He was considered by his family and friends to be the best self-taught driver ever known. His CB handle name was “Penny”. He was considered a great storyteller. His favorite color was blue. He was affectionately known to family and friends as “Daddy Bill” or “Uncle Bill”. He was a faithful member of  Rivers of Water AOH Church Daytona Beach, FL and Mighty Fortress AOH Church of God, where he served for over 30 years.

He was proceeded in death by his Parents: Benjamin Franklin, Sr. and Janis Scott Franklin; Sons: Timothy Franklin and Anthony Franklin; Step-Son: Michael  Butler; Brothers: Robert Franklin and Benjamin Franklin, Jr.; Sister: Mary Kay Franklin.

 

Willie leaves to cherish loving and precious memories to his Loving and Devoted Wife of 31 Years: Pastor Margaret Wells Franklin; Biological Children: Tyron, Melissa, and Erica of PA; Step-children: Tanna,  Alphonso, and Levar; Siblings: Joann Michelle Core (Michael) of Orlando, FL, Deborah Lassiter of   Atlanta, and Larry Franklin of MD; 22 Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren; and a host of other  Sorrowing Family and Grieving Friends who will miss him dearly.
