William Winchester Obituary

Mr. William Albert Winchester was born on November 29, 1939, in Apopka, Florida to Albert Winchester and Norma Ruth McKenzie.  

 

Mr. William grew up in Central Florida and attended Phyllis Wheatley High School. In July 1960, William married his childhood sweetheart Fannie Harris. To this union, five precious children were born. William loved his family and was a great provider. William was a member of the Fountain of Life Baptist Church. William attended church with his wife and daughters. William was employed with Walt Disney World for 27 years before retiring from Disney. During William’s free time he enjoyed hanging out on the corner with his good male friends in Apopka. William was an outstanding fisherman and owned his own boat. William spent quality time teaching his children how to fish. Some of the fishing trips consisted of the family fishing at Walt Disney World.  Although, fishing was not something all the children desired, his daughter Cornelia enjoys fishing and will continue her father’s legacy. William also had a garden in the backyard of his home and shared his produce with family and friends.

William was preceded in death by his Parents: Albert Winchester and Norma Ruth McKenzie and Sister: Reba Johnson.  

 

William leaves to cherish loving memories to his Loving Wife: Fannie Winchester; Four Daughters: Tanya R. Hughley, Celeste Taylor,  Cornelia A. Winchester, and Mytrice Winchester; One Son: Darnell R, Winchester; Two Sisters: Evelyn McGhie (Tony) and Leola Scott; Five Grandchildren: Darnell, Jr. (Rena), Phillip (Revae), Danielle, Destin, and Chantel; Six Great Grandchildren; One Brother-In-Law: Jessie S. Harris (Gwen); and a host of  Nieces & Nephews, other   Sorrowing Family and  Grieving Friends who will miss him dearly.
