William Lenard Bell, Sr., was born on the 31st day of October, 1963, in Kissimmee,
Florida, to Calanthee Mary Bell and Clem Cave. He was raised lovingly in Jacksonville,
Florida, by his father’s sister, Eleanor, and her husband, Horace Delifus. Both parents
and both guardians preceded their son in death. Soon after graduating from Andrew
Jackson High School, he returned to his town of birth.
With a magnetic smile, jovial personality, and zeal to help others exude zest for
life, Mr. Bell quickly landed a position in the tourism industry at the Hyatt Regency
Grand Cypress Resort. He worked and had fun there for several years before seeking
opportunities for greater benefits and more lucrative earnings. He found what he
sought at a distribution center in Orlando, Florida, operated by McLane Company,
Inc., one of the largest leaders of supply chain services in the country. With his strong
sense of integrity, demonstrative respect for all people, and an eagerness to learn and
develop new skills, he held his place on the McLane Team as both a valuable teammate
and a highly respected coach for twenty-nine years and eleven months. That’s right—
he worked as a dedicated employee at that distribution center for nearly thirty years.
The major motivation behind Lenard’s drive to work tirelessly was his unwavering
commitment to providing the essentials for a good life and exciting adventures for
his family. No injury nor sickness could cloud his desire to give his best to his wife
of thirty-five years, Martha Levon Williams Bell and his children. To their union,
three children were born Renaldo Bell, RaKeem Bell, and Ramaiyah Bell. Not only
was his love for family boundless, he also took unapologetic pride in nurturing
and encouraging members of the Little League Mustangs football team and the
AAU Kissimmee Wildcats basketball team. He coached these teams voluntarily for
many years with his bride by his side as a constant companion, confidante, partner,
teammate, and team mom.
Brother Bell was a member in good standing at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church
in Kissimmee. Following insurmountable health challenges, he died in his home on
the 26th day of December, 2022. He is missed by many family members, friends, and
associates.
