Deacon Walter Hundley was born to late Mr. Harmon Hundley, and
Ezzie Hundley on April 20, 1935 in Baker County, Georgia.
Deacon Hundley was a devoted Deacon of Mount Hermon Baptist
Church, Orlando, Florida. He worked for and retired from Orange
County Public Schools after more than 20 years of service. Deacon
Hundley also worked for more than 20 years at Superior Fertilizer and
Chemical and more than 16 years at Plymouth Citrus Growers.
Deacon Hundley was an avid bowler, he was the captain and founding
member of the “King Pins”, the first black bowling team to bowl in a
sanctioned league in Apopka, Florida. He also served as a Youth Little
League baseball coach and played baseball for The Apopka City League
