Tom White, Jr. was born on May 28, 1950, to Alma Jean Gibson and Buddy Lewis Jaye. A resident of Orlando, Florida, Tom received his education locally and completed high school before beginning his life’s journey rooted in family, faith, and community.
On October 19, 2025, Tom peacefully entered eternal rest. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to those he cherished most.
Tom is survived by his devoted daughter, Sandy White-Manneh, and son-in-law, Omar Manneh; his beloved grandchildren, Nijah Young, Chelsey Young, Alycia Young, and Savannah Young; and his precious great-grandson, Delajuwon Graham.
He is also remembered by a host of brothers:
Audrey Hawkins, Melvin Hawkins, Curtis Hawkins, Jimmy Hawkins, Donald Hawkins, John Louis Jaye, Alexander Jaye, Jermaine Jackson, and Eric Jackson;
and sisters:
Pamela Hawkins, Flossie Anderson, Mittie Jaye Stubbs, Barbara Jaye Curry, Linda Jaye Hudson, Ruby Jean Bell, Stephanie Jackson, and Nicole Jackson.
In addition to his immediate family, Tom is lovingly remembered by numerous other relatives and friends who were touched by his kindness, humor, and gentle spirit.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him
