Stephanie McKenzie Obituary

The gift of life was given to Stephanie Linette McKenzie on May 4, 1969 in Eustis, Florida. Stephanie was born the 2nd of five children, to Annie Mae Holmes and Henry Spencer. Stephanie attended Mt Dora High School, furthering her education in the medical profession.

Exemplifying her talents, Stephanie began her career as a caretaker for those with special needs and grew to serving those with extenuating special needs until her departure. She didn’t limit her love to those she knew, these actions were visibly seen and felt in compassion beyond measure to all.

Stephanie loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Umatilla, Florida where she diligently served as an usher until relocating to Princess Anne, Maryland.

On March 25, 2025, Stephanie received and accepted her special invitation to rest from earthly cares and awaits the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She is preceded in death by her loving father, Wilbur E. Holmes Sr.

Stephanie leaves to cherish in memory continuing in legacy Son: Dallas Johnson, Princess Anne, Maryland. Daughter: Shaunessey Mapp (Devin) Tavares, FL. 9 Grandchildren, Nasir, and Nyla of Tavares, FL, Dajour, Me’Airrah, Aaliyah, Ava, Kamari, Kalani, and Kiann of Princess Anne, Maryland. Mother: Annie Mae Holmes, Mt Dora, FL. Fathers: Henry (Nick) Spencer, Fort Dodge, Iowa, James Jones, Eustis, FL. Siblings: Dr. Tina Davis (Leo) Ocoee, FL, Rev. Corey Jones (Von) Jacksonville, FL, Kendrix Jones (Carolyn) Wesley Chapel, FL, Krystal Washington, Mt Dora, FL. Reneka Clayton, Pamela and Chris Douglas, Katrina and Jessica Smith, Jamall Roberts, all of Fort Dodge, Iowa. Catessa North, Mt Dora, FL, James Jones, Deltona, FL, Rodrick Scott (Ursela) Grand Isle, FL., Cathy Holmes and Jerimiah Holmes, Apopka, FL, Eunice Robinson, Apopka, FL, Velinda Robinson (Danny) Stanton, VA. Special Daughter: Setia Yates, Gainesville, FL, Godson: Kyron Green, Best Friend: Tammy Jackson Austin, God- sisters: Connie Thomas, Mollie Lockett, and Deborah Faniel.
