Shirley Elizabeth Olive was born January 8, 1936, in St. Thomas
US, VI, at 3506 Benito Juarez Circle to Lyra Phillips and Phillip
Rhymer, both deceased. Her husband, Joseph Olive, Sr., is also
deceased. She received her GED/high school diploma.
She is survived by: children, Josephine Richardson (Edouard), Judith
McBryde (Willie Fred), Joseph Olive, Jr. (Tabatha), Roselyn
Brown, Justin Jennings, and Racheal Brooks; 13 grandchildren;
20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a loving niece,
Merley Fredricks; one sister of New York; two brothers, of St.
Thomas; and one brother/one sister (deceased).
God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around you
and whispered, “come to me”
With tearful eyes
we watched you suffer, and
saw you slowly fade away.
Although we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands put to rest,
God broke our herats to
prove to us,
He only takes the best.
