Samuel Joseph Simmons was born July 4, 1957, in Union Springs, Alabama, to late Lucinda Simmons.
Sam and his mother relocated to Apopka, Florida, where he continued his education.
Sam was a truck driver for Cooper Trucking for many years. He transferred to Hydro Conduit Company until his retirement. Sam was preceded in death by his mother, Lucinda, brother,
Anderson, son, Michael, and daughter, Tswanda. Sam peacefully departed this life on November 19, 2022, surrounded by his lovely family including his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Margaret Simmons; son, Pastor Jonathan CarMichael, Sr.; daughterin- law, Glendale CarMichael; three daughters, LaQuanda CarMichael, Berrella Sanders, and Angela Graham; son-inlaw, Donald Graham; eleven grandchildren, Michael, Robert,
Marquita, DonNita, Jonathan Jr., Joneshia, Rossie, Jonathan, Cerenity, Ajani, and Trentyn five great-grandchildren, Ty’Kievious, Ty’Kia, Tysen, Aubrey, and Jaylon; two goddaughters, Patty Wright (Robert) and Christiana Ford (Ray); sister-in-law, Juanita Black; three aunts and three uncles; and a host of cousins and sorrowing friends.
