Ruth Smith Obituary

Ruth Marie Shakespear Smith was born on February 1, 1983 at Victoria Jubille Hospital situated at North Street Kingston, Jamaica to Wessel and Rosalee Shakespear. She had a premature birth. The doctors decided to abort her in order to save her mom's life who was severely sick during this pregnancy. She was also under close observation throughout her pregnancy. Because of the condition of her mom she struggled in the womb and her little body malfunctioned continually. It was because of this situation that the doctors were forced to give her mother pencil and paper to keep record of every moves made by Ruth. While the doctors were preparing to perform the abortion of Ruth the Almighty God moves in a miraculous way and allowed them to do an ultrasound to observe the functioning of the baby. No powers can stop a miracle. Ruth's story is a testimony. The doctors expectation failed and they saw the mighty hand of God happening inside her mom's womb. They saw Ruth kicking up and down inside the womb. Hence the doctors had to make a quick decision and they concluded on doing an emergency C section. Immediately the C section was done and a very beautiful girl came into the world weighing exactly 3 pounds. she was then taken into the incubator under T.L. Care

Years past by and Ruth was developing well. She was raised up in the church where her parents are deacon and deaconess. She was also a Sunday school stalwart. During her early childhood years she attended Franklyn Town All Age School and later moved on to Camperdown High School. Ruth's achievement was good, therefore she was awarded the sum of $50,000 to continue her studies.

"Times fly", they normally say. As the journey continues Ruth, her parents and only sister Cindy migrated to the United States of America. Upon arrival Ruth joined the West Orange High School and then moved on to College. She refused to complete her college as she realize that all they were teaching her was what she already knew and learned at high school in Jamaica.

After quitting college she started job searched. She was very qualified and worked many jobs. Her final job was with Amazon where she worked online from home.

In spite of her busy schedule with the society she considered having a family so she met and married the love of her life, John Smith this marriage produces 3 children: daughter Jai`Anna known as Evangelist Smith, son Joshua Smith and Joel Smith.

Ruth Shakespeare Smith was a very cultural person; one who love her country culture  and also any country associated with African Nationality.  She would dress and talk like each culture, she also enjoyed their different dishes.

One of Ruth's favorite things to do when meeting with her friends whom she had not seen for a long time was to begin her conversation with.. If you were a lady she would call you "Good gal or goodies" or if you were a man she would simply say "Weh you a do yah so." Whenever you would say something that she did not agree with she would say (Sas Christ you nuh fraid a God.)

Ruth was one person you could go anywhere with and don't have to worry if something was said that you don't understand because she could interpret it. She knew 5 different languages.

Ruth was always willing to help her family and friends and tried to  get all her family and friends to connect all over the world. She made sure  all her close families were taken care of whether it was paperwork or shopping  for things at a discount price.

Once a man twice a child Ruth's book was closed after the big birthday and valentines ideas she had for 2020, it was her dream to make both days the best she ever experienced.

Suddenly on January 31st Ruth transitioned to her Heavenly Fathers Care.
