Ruford “Cut” Shepherd, Sr., was born on December
3, 1958, in Orlando, Florida to the late Pauline Wright Shepherd
and late Charlie Shepherd, Jr., in Apopka, Florida. He was the
third oldest of seven children. As a child, he “cut up” constantly.
So, the name “Cut” seemed to fit well.
He attended and graduated from Orange County Public Schools
in Apopka, FL.
Ruford “Cut” Shepherd, Sr., moved from Apopka, Florida in 1979
to Eatonville, Florida.
In 1985, Ruford “Cut” Shepherd, Sr., met his lifetime partner of
35 years, Willene Harmon. Together, there were five kids to this
union.
Ruford “Cut” Shepherd, Sr., was the owner/founder of Cotton
Pickin’ Lawn Maintenance, a.k.a., CP Lawn Maintenance. He was
in business for 33 years and ongoing!
Ruford “Cut” Shepherd, Sr., was loving, giving, caring, a provider,
a leader, hard-working, trustworthy, and an honest father who
loved and took care of all of his kids and grandkids.
Ruford “Cut” took care of everyone no matter the situation and
will be missed dearly by everyone!

Ruford “Cut” Shepherd, Sr., was preceded in death by his mother,
Pauline Wright Shepherd; father, Charlie Shepherd, Jr.; son,
Maurice Bridges, Sr.; sisters, Brenda Moody, Lowenia Jackson,
and Cindy Shepherd; and mom-in-law, Christine Harmon.
He leaves cherished memories to: his wife, Willene Harmon;
children, Alex Jones, Felicia Ligon, Christopher Shepherd,
Dontay Shepherd, Shantelle Shepherd (Ana Shepherd), Malicia
Shepherd, Toshiba Shepherd, Ariel Shepherd, Ruford Shepherd,
Jr., and Diante Shepherd; stepchildren, Efio Ligon, Tiny
Ligon, Marion Matthews, Tommy Harmon, Sr., Abby Brown
(Rodderick Brown, Sr.), and Ebony Mitchell; 40 grandchildren;
14 great-grandchildren; sister, Pastor Willet Riley (Charlie Riley);
brothers, Clinton Shepherd, Mac Arthur Shepherd, and Martin
Shepherd; father-in-law, Marion Harmon; two special loving
caring grandsons, Danny Campbell and Lord Bratcher Shepherd;
(In Cut’s voice), a very special favorite aunt, Emma Will Parker
(Billy); and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and
sorrowing friends.
