The life of RICKHARDO ROBERT BUNTING affectionately known as “Johnny” or “Bunting” was born to Oswald Bunting and Rubena Bunting nee McPherson. He was born on the 11th day of November, 1960, in the cool parish of Portland in a little district called Berrydale in Jamaica. He is the first child for his parents. He has four sisters namely, Marcia St Marie (affectionately known as Chrissie) from Jamaica, Yvonne, Dianna, and Fiona from England, and three brothers namely, Lennox from England, Gregory from Jamaica, and Ian from Canada
Rickhardo attended Port Antonio Primary School, where he went on to Port Antonio Secondary School at the age of 12. After graduating from secondary school, he spent some time in Port Antonio his home parish where he met Barbara Martin, the love of his life. The union produced two children then, Dwight, affectionately known as Chris, and Kady-Ann.
Rickhardo then moved to Kingston, Jamaica, to find employment. He landed various jobs, but his last place of employment in Jamaica was Hotel Four Seasons. He later went on to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where he worked for several years. During that time he did some online courses in electronics to further qualify himself for the job market. This is where his love for electronics began. He then migrated to the United States to be with his family. The union got married in 1991, after which they had Yaneka Hunter and Jimoih, a total of four children in all. They first lived in Massachusetts, then moved down to Florida to a more tropical climate. He was employed to a cable company and then moved on to AT&T which was his last place of employment. As the years went by, Rickhardo was diagnosed with an illness that he was trying to overcome for several years. The Lord was so good to him, he allowed him to work for a very long time until he could not go on anymore. Due to his declining health, he opted for early retirement from AT&T in March of this year.
On Saturday, July 19, at about 8:30 AM, Rickhardo’s illness overcame him. May his soul rest in peace and light perpetual shines upon him
