Pierre Joseph Obituary

On January 29, 1952, in Savane Carrée in the district of Fort    Liberte, Haiti, Louis Joseph and Cecile Guerrier welcomed a handsome baby boy into the world: Pierre Joseph, affectionately known to many as “Louison.” From the very beginning, he carried a warm spirit, a determined heart, and a presence that would leave a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

Pierre later moved to the nearby town of Garde Saline, where he grew up alongside his beloved sister, Elizabeth, who preceded him in death. As a young man, Pierre discovered his passion for tailoring. Known throughout the community as “Boss Louison,” he dedicated himself to mastering his craft. Sewing was more than a job to him, it was an art. He constantly sought to improve his skills and was always searching for new opportunities to build a better future.

In 1980, driven by hope and determination, Pierre made the courageous decision to leave Haiti in search of a better life in the United States. While in the United States, Pierre discovered cooking as another passion. What began as an interest soon became a talent he mastered with pride. Over the years, many came to know him as “Chef Pierre.” He worked in private restaurants, where he    enjoyed preparing meals, serving others, and connecting with    people from all walks of life. Whether as Boss Louison behind a sewing machine or Chef Pierre in the kitchen, he brought dedication, creativity, and heart into everything he did.

Sadly, on May 19, 2026, Pierre Joseph took his final breath. His passing came as a shock to all who loved him.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that his memories, his laughter, his wisdom, and his love will remain with us forever. He leaves to cherish his precious memories of his beloved sister: Dieudone Joseph. His children: Lucson Joseph and his wife Lana Joseph; Lucnise J. Regis and her husband Robenson Regis; Crystal Joseph, Monise Joseph and her husband Timothy Rogers, and Amanda Joseph.

Pierre was also the proud grandfather of Jahmar, Jahvon, and    Nylah Regis; Ivyn, and Jake Joseph, and Taelynn Rogers, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. His legacy continues through his cherished nephews, nieces: Wilmain, Vilsaint, Saintanise, Manette, Dieulene, Dieuseul, Dieula, Julie Alcime, Charles Jean, Eddie Lubin, Michelle Antony, Jean Joseph, Charles Joseph, Fritz Hong, Hong Lee, Michaelle Joseph. The family of: Joseph, Sever, Telisma, Etienne, Volma, Charles, Manigat, Cherenfant, Alexandre, Marcius, and Seide. In addition, he leaves    behind countless friends and loved ones who will forever remember his kindness, determination, and unforgettable spirit.

Though Pierre is no longer physically with us, his love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone blessed enough to know him.

May he rest in eternal peace.
