Netherland Hall Obituary

Our Heavenly Father wrote Netherland Deloris Hall’s name in the Book of Life and welcomed her into His loving arms on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Netherland began her journey of life when she was born June 29, 1944 in Winter Park, Florida as the daughter of Bernice Silas Hall and “Pee-Wee” Clarence Hall Jr.

As the last living “Matriarch” of the Hall Family in Winter Park, Netherland “Sista” was a mother, a sister, an educator, a mentor and confidant to many, who for years was a witness to the faith. Netherland was a recipient of many awards during her teaching career at William R. Boone High School such as winner of the Metro Conference ALL-Sports Trophy and Perfect Attendance Award. Netherland was also named as one of 2002 Mass Class Reunion Hungerford High School Executive Members. Netherland’s community involvement included her membership in the Holden Heights Successful Seniors Club where active senior citizens have the opportunity to socialize, travel, go to local attractions as well as celebrate birthdays and holidays.

Netherland “Sista” accepted Christ as her personal savior and began walking in the Word of God as it was taught and preached at Ward Chapel A.M.E Church under the anointed and strong leadership of many minsters who served the church which was co-founded by her great-great grandfather the late Walter B. Simpson and served very dutifully for over 40 years before her illness. She was a life member of Ward Chapel A.M.E. and served in many capacities such as Steward, Church Secretary, Clerk, Rosa Coleman Usher board Member and also worked along her Mother Bernice Hall in the kitchen.

Netherland’s educational background included her attending Hungerford High School. While in high school she was captain of the cheerleaders graduating in 1962 as an honor student and class co-salutatorian with the 2nd highest GPA. Later she attended Bethune Cookman College graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Education. Netherland was a precious gift who worked in Orange County Public School System where she retired with 35 years of service in 2006. She was a woman of distinction who took great pride in working, serving, assisting and helping many students, staff and faculty whose lives she touched.

Netherland exhibited a heart of love and true selflessness. She had great compassion for family, friends. She loved her nieces, nephews and helped raise them. Netherland had a spirit that attracted people to whom she loved very much. She was vibrant and loved life, She put a smile on other people’s faces and she believed in sharing with others.

Netherland’s departure was a deep and personal loss by her family and friends; she will be greatly missed by them all. She was proceeded in death by her Mother (Bernice Silas Hall), Father “Pee-Wee” Clarence Hall Jr., Daughter (Daphne R. Hall), Brother (Clarence Hall Sr.), Sister (Diane Hall Stokes), Sister (Cynthia Hall Moses), Sister (Carolyn Ann Hall) nephew (Willie E Foster) and niece (Takisa Hall).
