Obituary

Mrs. Miriam Sinclair Smith was born December 7, 1945, in Portland, Jamaica, W.I. to the late Mavis Cresser and Eric Alexander Sinclair.
Mrs. Miriam attended Bellevue all-age school in Portland, Jamaica, and completed 1 year of nursing school. Miriam was a seamstress, the best in the East and would complete pieces of all kinds for people. She moved to the United States in 1969. Residing in Philadelphia, New York ,and finally settling in Orlando, Fl. She was known for her big and outgoing personality. Miriam was introduced to Richard Smith by her late Brother Vivian in March of 1986. The two later was joined in holy matrimony June of 1986. She was a dedicated worker at Hyatt Regency for over 30 years until they closed their doors. Then, she went back into the medical field at Orlando Regional Medical Center from where she later retired. During her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. It didn’t matter if it was just for a quick meal, shopping, or dancing. As long as it meant she was on the road. Miriam was affectionately called “Ma” by her family and lived life by her favorite motto: " I've never met a stranger.” She was loved by many.
She was preceded in death by her Parents: Mavis Cresser and Eric Alexander Sinclair and Family: Paulette Smith, David Lloyd Sinclair, Eric Sinclair, Beresford Smith, Vivain Smith, Maud Cousins, and Venice Sinclair.
Miriam leaves to cherish loving memories to her Daughters: Lorraine Wilson, Erika Sinclair Palmer( Vahonell), Nicole Ellis; Grandchildren: Jon Anthony Alexander, Michael Predelus ( Lorraine); Vahonell Palmer Jr, Patricia Palmer, Andrew Palmer( Oretiana), Jaqueem Palmer, Ashley Palmer ( Erika & Vahonell); Jeremiah Adams, Nicholas Adams (Nicole) ; Great Grandchildren: Jeremiah Caneus ( Vahonell Jr), Andrew Palmer Jr , Omari Palmer, Erin Palmer, Elliana Palmer( Andrew & Oretiana), Jaqueem Palmer, Aniyah Benbow( Patricia); Brothers: Bertram Martin, Paul Smith, Delroy Smith, Ronald Smith, Andrew Sinclair, Micheal Lawrence, Foster Sinclair, Franklin Sinclair, Carlington Sinclair, Luke Sinclair; Sisters: Winifred Smith, Phylis Smith, Lorna Smith, Syd Sinclair, Elaine Dunbar (Sinclair), Venice Sinclair, Blondie Sinclair, Patra Sinclair, Shelly Sinclair; And a host of Nieces, Nephews, other loving family and friends who will miss her dearly.
