Sister Melba Jean Jackson was born in Edison, Georgia on July 25, 1943, to Melvin and Sarah Gibson Harmon.
Sister Jackson attended Calhoun County Public Schools and was a graduate of Calhoun County High School in 1961. Sister Jackson Accepted Christ at an early age and was a dedicated member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church for over fifty years. Sister Jackson was united in holy matrimony to Deacon Johnny Jackson in 1971. Sister Jackson worked on the Florida Turnpike for several years. Sister Jackson was the loving mother of four sons; Anthony Shuman, Michael Shuman, William Jackson, and Melvin Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her Parents: Melvin Harmon and Sarah Harmon; Siblings: J.T. Wiley, Helen Harmon Delespin, Johnny Harmon, and Geraldine Harmon Harris.
Sister Jackson leaves to cherish loving and precious memories to her Sons: Anthony “Tony” Shuman (Valencia “Vada”) of Apopka, FL, Michael Shuman, William “Bill” Jackson (Wanda) of Orlando, FL, and Melvin Jackson of Orlando, FL; Seven Grandchildren: Tyrone Shuman, Nicholas Shuman, Trumain Shuman, Prentiss Jackson, Danielle Jackson, Meleia Jackson, and Amelia’ Jackson; Four Great-Grandchildren: Tyshaun Shuman, Shamar Shuman, Marissa Shuman, and Grayson Shuman; and A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other Sorrowing Family and Grieving Friends who will miss her dearly.
