McRay Pettigrew Obituary

McRay Pettigrew, Jr., was born September 27, 1984, inLos Angeles, California, to Yvonne (Medley) Pierre and the
late McRay Pettigrew, Sr. McRay moved to Orlando, Florida,where he attended the public schools of Orange County. He
eventually relocated to Apopka, Florida, where he graduated from Apopka High School. As God saw need, He sent McRay
the love of his life, Mrs. Mary K. Pettigrew. Ray had a talk with God, to have a better life for his beautiful wife and
outstanding children. They relocated to Bellaire, Ohio, where McRay was a truck driver and worker in the oil and gas field.
McRay was a true family man, always loving and caring, with kindness for everyone. His charisma was infectious. He could
turn your worst days into your best days. McRay was honored to be a loving son, brother, father, and most of all, husband.
“Ray Ray” was loyal to his friends and co-workers. To know Ray was to love Ray. Ray also served as a Junior Deacon at
Warren Chapel in Winter Park, Florida. The heart God gave McRay created special places for three adopted sisters, which
he embraced as his own daughters, Stacee, Phyllis, and Tracy Pope.

He was survived by: mother, Yvonne (Robert) Pierre; wife, Mary Kaye-Pope Pettigrew; eight children, Ray’shad, McRay,
Raven, Makayla, Raekwon, Rayshawn, Rayonna, and Ray’asia Pettigrew; sisters, Tenicka and Alexandra; brothers, William
Medley, Corey (Jaqueline) Pettigrew, and Raina Pettrigrew; nieces and nephews, Katelyn, Deja, Jasmine, Sincere, Jania,
Corey, Jr., Jasmine, Neveah, Raiven, Rayvion, and Mariyah; goddaughter, Ida Bridges; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins                                                                                                                in-law, and countless friends. He will be greatly missed by many sorrowing friends.
