Obituary

Mary Lois Willis Sanders. . .A Shining Example of GOD’s LOVE

“ Well Done, good and faithful  servant.”    Matthew 25: 21

Mary Lois Willis Sanders was born on July 8, 1932 to Mary Lois Avona Willis Springer in Lee County of Loachapoka, Alabama.  Her loving journey was relinquished on April 29, 2023 for her eternal home.

She was educated in Alabama during the early years of her life, and later moved to Apopka, Florida where she continued her schooling in the Orange County School System. She attended  and graduated from Hungerford High School in Eatonville, Florida.  There she met and married Wilfred A. Sanders, Sr.  From that union, they had 7 children.

At an early age, she was surrounded by family who taught her to know GOD and  HIS goodness.  Attending Sunday School and church laid a foundation of her Love for family and all people along her life’s journey.  She was spiritual and knew the LORD intimately. Her dedication to serve others was the embodiment of  Love for family  and all mankind. She clearly understood what it meant to help the “least of these” and lived a life serving and helping others, especially those in need. She was affectionally known as Mrs. Mary Lois, a person who demonstrated the true meaning of A Life Well-Lived  through unconditional Love, Sacrifice, and Service.

She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Lois Springer, brother, Charlie Lee Willis and son, Wilfred A. Sanders, Jr.

A  legacy of Love has been left to her 6 children, 18 grandchildren, and  12 Great-Grands:  Children:  W. Annette Coleman (Andrew); Janice Lois Melson (Harold); Lloyd A. Sanders, Sr. (Sharon); Valerie C. Sanders, Linda G. Hawkins, Douglas W. Sanders, as well as a daughter-in-law, Margie Sanders and  an endearing Son-in-Love, David Crumpton. Grandchildren: Wilfred A. Sanders III( Ebone), Kimberly C. Clare (Ryan), Jaron Sanders, Douglas C. Sanders, Richard King, Jr., Andrew W. Coleman, IV, Whitney Alexis Coleman-Lopez (Jesse), Marisha Melson-Goodman (Willian), Mariah Lois Melson, Lloyd A. Sanders, Jr., Jarrett  R. Sanders, Carmen T. Sanders, Jasmine C. Sanders, Brennan A. Hawkins, Christopher S. Hawkins, Christopher J. Sanders, Tyler L. Sanders, and  Chelsea M.
