Marvella Lord Obituary

Marvella Helena Lord was born and raised in St. David. She was the daughter of Samon and Agnes Lord. Growing up in a large and loving family, she was one of eleven children—eight girls and three boys. From an early age, Marvella had a joyful and vibrant spirit. She also spoke fluent Spanish.

She began working as a Nursing Assistant at the remarkable age of 18, showing compassion and dedication in all she did. Marvella had one son, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. After the passing of her father, she migrated to Venezuela, and it was always just the two of us from then on. We were as close as sisters. Marvella wouldn’t do anything without asking for my opinion first.

She had a kind heart, a love for children, and even a fondness for her little dog. Twenty-four years ago, she moved to the United States and lived with me ever since—until the Lord called her home.

Marvella leaves behind a large and loving spiritual family. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved he
