Leon Carter, also known as “Superman” to his friends, was born on April 15, 1959, in Arkansas to Earlene Grayson and Leonard Carter. Leon grew up in Apopka, Florida. He had five other siblings and was the youngest of the bunch. Throughout his life, Leon was able to achieve a multitude of accomplishments, such as “The Golden Gloves” in boxing, and he was the owner of two businesses, Leon’s Trucking Company and Superman Lawn Care Services.
Leon lived a satisfying and fulfilling life that set him free. He lived a life that was solely based on giving and being a provider for his family and friends. The love he had for Jesus Christ reflected on how he treated his friends and family and those around him. Leon enjoyed the small things in life like shopping and eating cake and drinking Pepsi, but there was nothing more exciting for him than being around his children and grandchildren, listening to music, and being able to brag about their accomplishments. Leon was a devoted father, grandfather, son, and brother who will be forever missed by all who knew and cherished him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Earlene Carter; father, Leonard Carter; sisters, Lena Mae Carter and Essie Mae Brown; brothers, Melvin Carter and James Carter; daughters, Verrate Mae Williams and Victoria Carter; son, Lee Carter; stepson, Jermaine Moultrie; and daughter-in-law, Yarvia Maxey.
