Jeremy was the oldest of 3, was born to Anthony and Elaine Birthwright on August 21, 1979 in Queens, New York.
Jeremy was a very caring and thoughtful person and loved his family. Growing up in Lakeview, NY, he was very protective over his 2 younger siblings, Jeffrey and Jennelle. He was a part of a great community and developed a reputation of being a gentle giant and was loved by many. Jeremy was always willing to help out for example, mentoring other children, bringing in groceries or something as simple as shoveling snow out of your driveway to ensure you could leave safely. Jeremy developed a love for football at an early age starting with the West Hempstead Generals. Then, he transitioned to Malverne High School where he acquired more skills to become a household name in the high school football communities known as “Big Birf”. During this time, his larger than life personality began to show where he was a staple in the Pinebrook Court community as well as the Lakeview community. He developed some great friendships with the members of the Malverne High School football team, classmates and community members. Jeremy was rooted in his faith. It all started in King’s Chapel of Hempstead under the leadership of the late Pastor Basil Chambers, where he acquired the spiritual fortitude to not be swayed but to live a life pleasing to God. Jeremy’s personality continued to illuminate as he progressed on his spiritual journey, at Pentecostal Tabernacle Apostolic Orlando, under the leadership of Pastor Fredrika Francis. Jeremy loved to laugh and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, playing the saxophone, studying the word of God and entertaining his younger nieces and nephews.
Jeremy is survived by his parents, Anthony and Elaine Birthwright, his siblings Jeffrey Birthwright and Jennelle Evans, nephews Jadiem Birthwright and Amir Evans, and nieces Kaliyah Birthwright and Amirah Evans. He was also loved and supported by many aunts and uncles as well as friends all over the globe. Jeremy, thank you for being a part of our lives, we are all going to miss you.
