George Nix

Sgt. George Nix was born on May  20, 1943. He attended Eustis Vocational High School and graduated in 1961. On December 31, 1961, he entered into Holy Matrimony to Carolyn Short. George Nix was drafted into the United States Army. He served his country with truth and pride for his service. George Nix received honorable medals for his up-standing service.  **One Bronze Star Medal ** The Air Medal ** The Army Commendation Medal ** The Vietnam Combat Certificate ** Thank you Sgt. Sgt. George Nix leaves to cherish memories to his Loving and Devoted Wife of 54 years Carolyn Shorts-Nix; Brothers: Willie Nix of Mt. Dora, Florida, Bobby Joe Nix of Mt. Dora,  Florida, and  Mansfield Nix (Vicky) of Tangerine, Florida; Sisters: Lillie Mae Jones of Albany Georgia and Barbara Nix-McCoy of Mt. Dora, Florida; One Devoted God-Daughter: Carolyn E. Joe; Grand God-Son: Carter Matthew Joe of Tavares, Florida; and a host of other Loving Family and Friends who will miss him dearly.
