Corwin J Evans

Corwin Jovan Evans was born on July 24, 1980, to Annie D. Evans and the late Cleveland Evans Sr. He resided in Orlando, Florida, after previously living in Georgia. Corwin began his education at Edgewater High School in Orange County from 1996 to 1998 and went on to graduate from Mt. Dora High School in 1999. He later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computing in 2005.

Corwin was formerly married to Diana Smith and was the proud father of six children: Quinton Evans, Zion Evans, Cleveland Evans, William Evans, Makaya Smith, and Nala Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Cleveland Evans Sr., and his beloved grandparents, Louise Strickland and Columbus Strickland.

With an immense heart for service, Corwin dedicated much of his life and career to supporting causes close to his heart, including foster care, adoption, and disability and autism awareness. His compassion was evident in every role he took on, always working to uplift and care for those in need. A lifelong learner, Corwin pursued a variety of certifications in mental health, caregiving, lineman and heavy equipment operation, real estate adjustment, and information technology.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Corwin had a love for football, a deep interest in family history, and a special joy in storytelling. His devotion to his family was unwavering. Among all those he loved, his mother and his late grandmother Louise held a particularly special place in his heart.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Annie D. Evans; his six cherished children, Quinton, Zion, Cleveland, William, Makaya, and Nala; his loving sister, Chandra Connelly (William); his brother, Cleveland Evans Jr. (Cherry); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Corwin leaves behind a legacy of love, learning, and service. He will be remembered always and missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.
