Cleveland Clark Jr departed this life on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Orlando Regional Memorial Hospital. He was born September 26, 1954 in Orlando, Florida, to Bishop Cleveland Clark, Sr. and the late Mother Barbara Clark. Cleveland graduated from Wymore Career Education Center in 1972. Cleveland was employed as a bus driver for the City of Orlando, FL, Greyhound Trailways and finally as the owner/operator of Clark’s Trucking Company until his health failed.
Deacon Clark was raised in the Apostolic Church of Jesus under the auspices of his father and Pastor, Bishop Cleveland Clark, Sr. He became the church musician at Maitland Apostolic Church of Jesus as he honed his God-given gift. He did not have a problem letting you know “you’re off key” by the shaking of his head. Music was his passion and He loved singing and playing the Lead and Hawaiian guitars with God’s anointing. He was the musician for the Central Florida District for many years and was the best musician on “this side of heaven.” He was the founder and lead guitarist of the “Gospel Moderations Quartet Singers” for many years, traveling around the country.
Cleveland is preceded in death by his mother: Mother Barbara J. Clark; brothers: Joseph J. Clark and Timothy W. Clark Sr.; sisters: Phyllis L. Delanie and Patricia A. Clark.
Cleveland leaves to cherish his memories ~ father: Bishop Cleveland Clark Sr., sisters: Sylvia (Willie) Portsmouth, VA and Cynthia Clayton of Eatonville, FL. uncle: Walter Washington; aunts: Edna Cole, Juanita Kelly and Shirley Graham all of Orlando, FL. A host of cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends that he leaves to cherish his memories.
