Today we gather to honor the life of Cleston Lennox Smith, known to all as Pops. He was born in Kingston Jamaica to Evelyn Wilks and Thomas Smith. In Jamaica he worked as a skilled mechanic by trade until 1995 when he migrated to the United States, he was in his late twenties. After arriving to the United States, he worked for Days Inn Resorts with so much passion that he earned    Employee of the month multiple times. After 9/11 he Bravely ventured into Entrepreneurship running his own Ice cream truck business which became a symbol of his joy and connection to the community, he also did landscaping on the side showing dis attention to detail and his love for hard work in every aspect of his life. Cleston enjoyed reggae music delicious food and great drinks. He loved spending time with his family and being around his friends and loved ones. He was a simple but happy man. He cared about everyone around him so much he would give you the shirt off his back if he knew you needed it. He never hesitated to help, Always doing odd jobs for anyone in need mostly doing things out of the kindness of his heart hardly ever for Money saying God will Bless him. Beyond his work he was a devoted Father and Grandfather, he leaves behind his four Children Kaydian, Conroy,Ziyon and Khalida along with his 4 grandchildren, Khalil, Kameron, Roy’yanna and Kaysen. He was always ready to give them love guidance and ice cream. He is also survived by his mother Evelyn and his 7 siblings, Trevor, Winsom, Pablo, Basil, Charmaine, Culture and Andrew.


Pops leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work and unwavering love for his family and community. May he rest in peace.
