Mr. Clarence Edward Wright, Sr. affectionately known as “Pete”, was born on September 29, 1951, in Oakland, Florida to the late Alice Kemp Wright and the late Freddie Lee Patterson
Clarence attended Orange County Public Schools and graduated from Charles R. Drew High School Class of 1969 and he also attended Edward Waters College where he majored in Auto Mechanics and Barbering. Clarence “Pete” was a freelance mechanic, he along with his Big brother Joe spent countless hours rebuilding and working on race cars and drag racing them. Clarence departed this life on May 5, 2021, at Advent Health Apopka Florida.
Clarence was preceded in death by his son: Clarence Edward Wright, Jr. “Lil Pete”; Mother: Alice Kemp Wright; Father: Freddie Lee Patterson; Brother Charles Kemp; Sisters: Cora Johnson, Pearlie Mae Kemp Blair, and Mary Battle.
Clarence leaves to cherish memories to 3 Sons: Dana M. Gipson, Joshua Wright, and Davantae Wright, all of Apopka; 1 Daughter: Shukeema Jackson Wright of Orlando; 1 Sister: Shirley Wright Williams of Winter Garden; 2 Brothers: Joseph Wright of Tildenville, and Randy Reynolds of Winter Garden, 3 Granddaughters: Dianna Gipson, Anisha Kelger, and Anyiaah Jackson, all of Orlando; 1 Grandson: Davione Jackson, and 1 Great Granddaughter: Jamyla Jones; A devoted Caregiver: Johnnie Pearl Gipson Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and many sorrowing friends
