Catherine Jones Taylor

Catherine Jones was born to Lem and Lucille Jones
on July 12, 1931, in Enterprise, Alabama. She attended
school in the Barbour County School System in Alabama.
Catherine accepted Christ at an early age. Upon the family’s
move to Florida, she met and married T.S. Taylor in 1950.
To this union, three daughters were born.
Catherine was dedicated to her family as a homemaker and
also assisted her mother in caring for all the neighborhood
children in Mount Dora.
Catherine was a quiet and gentle soul with a big heart, who
loved her family and friends dearly.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, T.S.
Taylor; parents, Lem and Lucille Jones; brothers, K.C. and
Johnell Jones; and a sister, Johnnie Mae Hughley.
Catherine leaves to cherish her loving memory: her children,
Bobbie S. Wright (Lorenzo) of Apopka, FL, Shirley A.
Taylor of Tallahassee, FL, and Teresa L. Taylor of Winter
Park, FL; siblings, David Jones (Pearl) of Mount Dora,
FL, Elizabeth Jones of Mount Dora, FL, Elaine Cannady
of Mount Dora, FL, and Leroy Jones (Juliette) of Ocoee,
FL; eight grandchildren, Shalana Williams-Reed, Corey
L. Williams, Brittany S. Richardson, Anthony Severe,
Christopher Severe, Ivy Wright, Keisha Wright, and Xavier
Wright; six great-grandchildren, Samuel J. Grace, Jr., Jaron
Williams, Javante Berry, Jasmin Reed Wright, Madyson S.
Williams, and Corey Michael Williams; five great-great-
grandchildren, Mekhi Paul Berry, Breann Mackey, Caleb
Mackey, A’Nya Fields, and Syari Grace; and special friends,
Gwendolyn McDuffie, Rhodenia Edwards, Louise Alberta
Williams, Ms. Almeda, Jackie Marshall, and David Long; and a host of other loving family and griveing friends
