Mother Rosa Lee Hill was born September 16, 1927,
to the late Charlie and Helen Harris. She is the eldest of nine
children. In 1945; at the age of eighteen, she gave her life to Christ
and joined Greater Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in
Tangerine, Florida.
She received her education from the Orange County public school
system. In 1940, she became a licensed cosmetologist and worked
in her field for 36 years.
Rosa met and married the late Thomas L. Hill. They lived in
Tangerine, Florida, for eleven years, after which they moved to
Eustis, Florida, where she lived until her demise.
She was preceded in death by: daughter, Thomasina Malory; two
grandchildren, Eugene Thomas and Pamela Duncan; Five siblings,
Lester Harris, Cillia Schofield, Geneva Lightsey Thomas, James
Harris, and Henry Harris.
She leaves to cherish her memories, son, Charles J. Hill (Martha)
of Eustis, Florida; daughters, Shirley Prior, Eustis, Florida, Anna
Wenger, Riverside, California, and Veronica Williams (Michael) of
Mt. Dora, Florida; one sister, Irene Hasty (Thomas) of Jacksonville,
Florida; two brothers, Charlie Harris, Jr., of Mt. Dora, Florida,
and Nathaniel Harris (Charlie Mae) of Palatka, Florida. She has
21 grandchildren, 50 great-grands, 22 great-great-grands, and
one great-great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, and sorrowing friends
