Ralph Joseph or as he was known to family and friends "Basil" was born in Willikies Antigua and Barbuda in the British West Indies. He was born to Leonie Harris and John Joseph on June 23 1949. He was brother to Irvine Humphreys, Kathleen Hazelwood, Winston Nathaniel, Welling Joseph, Robert Joseph, and Kelly Joseph.
As a young man Basil moved to St. Croix USVI where he married Gloria Joseph who became the mother of his children N'Komo, Dorrell, Joleen, Dino, Omari, O'Dane, Latarra and Kory Joseph. Basil and his wife Glory where good parents and were proud of their children. Basil set an example for his children by being present for his children and working hard.
As a provider for his family he became a jack of all trade and was a professional in construction work.
Basil loved sports and people, after he retired from construction he became a local taxi driver, people loved him because he was reliable, calm and soft-spoken. Basil leaves behind a legacy in his grandchildren Kemari, Shamari, Dorell, Jomari, Kyrie, Kory, Breanna, O'Ryiah, Jah'nyla, Jaynayra Joseph. Adonis Williams, Gabriel Rivera, and Lakiya Hosein.
He is survived by numerous family members nieces, nephews and in-laws all of which celebrate his life: Judith Johnson, Julia Grant, Jonnile Baker, Shawnee Hazelwood, Kamille Hazelwood, Corrine Hazelwood, Jennelle Joseph, Loreen Joseph, Calvin Hazelwood, Dwayne Hazelwood, Marc Joseph, Karen Joseph-Stapleton, Carla Joseph-Baker, Randoph Joseph, Robert Joseph Jr. , Michael Joseph, Loreen Joseph, Kashanie Joseph, Loreal Joseph, Melanie Nathaniel, Sasha Nathaniel, Winston Gordon. Jaquelyn Nathaniel and Dwayne Nathaniel (deceased) In-Laws Shawn Joseph, Annia Degourville, Anthony Williams, Iolette Joseph, and Joycelyn Joseph
Basil leaves behind a host of other family members that loved and respect him. Ralph Basil Joseph was a good, hard working and humble man, He impacted many people while he was here and he lives on through his children and grandchildren and all that knew and loved him.
