Lucy Carver Sims

Lucy Elner Carver Sims was born on September 2, 1941 in Elizabeth City, NC to the late Nicola Moore Carver and Leamond Carver.

Lucy attended P.W. Moore High School in Elizabeth City, NC. She later met and married Charlie Ray Sims.

She leaves to cherish her memories Loving    Daughters: Veronica Rogers, Sheila Sims (Richard), Patricia Sims-Reddick (Virgil), Velma Williams (Teddy), and Lynette Sims; 8 Grandkids, 15 Great-Grandkids, God-son: Joseph Fair and James Cooks; Brothers: Melvin Carver of Heidelberg, Germany, Lester Carver (Victoria) of Elizabeth City, NC, Lee C. “Kent” Carver of Chesapeake, VA,   Bradford Carver (Faye) of Youngsville, NC, Darryl Carver (Cassandra) of Virginia Beach, VA; Sisters: Bernice Eason, Theresa Sessoms (Paris), Rita Banks (Wilbert) all of Elizabeth City, NC Bernadette Griffin (Dempsey) of Fredericksburg, VA; Aunt & Uncle: Glenn Moore and Reubenia Alexander; Brother-In-Laws: William McGruder (Virginia), Lorenzo McGruder, Ira Glenn McGruder, Quienton McGruder, Mitchell Sims, Woodrow Nash, Joshua Liverman; Sister-In-Laws: Celestine Carver,    Marvis Carver, Pastry Sims; A Devoted Friend: Pauline Griffin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving family and sorrowing friends.
