Lucille "Cille" Jones

Lucille Jones was born February 10th, 1934, to
Lola Mae Walker and Johnny Jones. She was educated
in the Suwannee County Public Schools, in the Back
Cut Community. She was a longtime resident of Grand
Island, FL. She was married to Lamar Gilford on Monday,
September 17th, 2018. e Lord saw that Lucille had
gotten tired walking this road in life and dispatched his
angel to come and escort her to her eternal reward.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Gilford,
father, Johnny Jones, mother, Lola Mae Walker, brother,
Ervin Jones, and son, Kenneth Donaldson Jones.
She leaves to mourn and celebrate her memory: daughters,
Julliette Jones (Eustis, FL), Alma Marie Jones (Orlando,
FL), Chened L. Stewart (Grand Island, FL), and Cynthia
R. Jones-Hendricks (Apopka, FL); one son, Joseph B.
Carter (Eustis, FL); sister, Lella Ross (Lake City, FL);
and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends
